ORLANDO, Fla. – The Saint Joseph's women's tennis team fell 4-0 to fifth-seeded Davidson in the Atlantic 10 Championship First Round at the USTA National Campus on Wednesday.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Charlotte Kordonowy and Brooke Tackett held a 5-3 lead in the third doubles flight, but the Wildcats finished off the top two flights to earn the first point of the day.
 
• Davidson clinched the match with wins in the first three matches to finish.  The Hawks were on the cusp of a pair of points as Ireland Amato was a game away from victory in the sixth flight, while Victoria Tracey was well ahead in her first-flight match as well when play was halted.  Kordonowy trailed by a set in the fourth flight, but had a lead in the second set at the conclusion of play.

"I am so proud of this team," head coach Jeff Puhan said.  "I asked them to go out and play for each other and that's exactly what they did today.  The energy was amazing!  We battled a very solid Davidson team and left it all on the courts."
