RICHMOND, Va. – The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team fell at 39
th-ranked VCU by a 7-0 score at the Thalhimer Tennis Center on Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Rams were able to secure the doubles point with wins in the second and third flights.
Othman Bezzaz and
Ernesto Ruy were locked in a tight battle in the first flight, trailing 6-5 when play was halted.
• VCU, the defending Atlantic 10 champions, finished off the win with a sweep of the singles flights.
Eli Gan-Dy followed up his victory on Friday with a solid performance on Saturday, battling from a set down before ultimately succumbing in a supertiebreaker.

"The guys came out focused and ready," head coach
Jeff Puhan said. "It was a solid doubles performance. A lot of good things came out of today; we just need to keep getting better. We have another opportunity to build on the good things tomorrow against another Atlantic 10 opponent in Richmond."
