BRONX, N.Y. – Fordham scored six runs in the sixth inning to come from behind and top the Saint Joseph's baseball team, 8-6, at Houlihan Park on Friday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Fordham (19-25 overall, 10-6 Atlantic 10) took the early lead on a sacrifice fly by Madden Ocko in the second inning.
Â
• Saint Joseph's (18-23 overall, 6-10 Atlantic 10) jumped ahead with a five-run fourth.Â
Conlan Wall started the inning with a single and two batters later,
Ryan Weingartner homered to center to give the Hawks the lead.Â
Owen Petrich then followed with a solo home run to make it a 3-1 game.

Ryan Picollo, and
Tim Dickinson hit consecutive singles to load the bases;
Luke Zimmerman would rip a single through the right side to score two and extend the advantage to 5-1 after four. Picollo would then add a sac fly in the sixth to further extend the margin.

• The Rams flipped the script in the bottom of the sixth, scoring six times on four hits, two walks, and a hit batsman, with a three-run home run by Henry Pelinski giving the hosts a 7-6 lead. Fordham added one more in the eighth on a double by Steve Luttazi.

• The Hawks had a chance to extend the game, putting the tying run on base in the ninth, but Aric Berg escaped the inning to notch the save.

BEHIND THE BOX SCORE
• Berg saved the win for Zach Karson, who tossed three perfect innings of relief for his first win.Â
Luke Gabrysh was charged with two runs on three hits in three innings to take the loss.

Domenic Picone got the start for SJU, allowing six runs on four hits in five-plus innings, while Declan Lavelle allowed six runs on nine hits in five innings for the Rams.

• Weingartner and Petrich had two hits apiece for the Hawks, while Weingartner had two RBI and two runs scored. Zimmerman also collected a pair of RBI.
