Ryan DeSanto earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Baseball honors, the organization announced this week.

McShane led all Hawk relievers with 57 strikeouts on the season, posting a 3.2 strikeout-to-walk ratio and fanning 11.8 batters per nine across 43.1 innings in 2024. The finance major and Bensalem, Pennsylvania, native tied for second on the squad in appearances both overall and in conference games, and tossed at least two innings in 11 different outings while working at least three frames on eight occasions, all while holding batters to a .224 average.

DeSanto was named a finalist for Academic All-America consideration after being named to both the Atlantic 10 All-Conference Second Team and the All-Championship Team. The southpaw out of Frederick, Maryland, ranked fourth in the A-10 in strikeouts and second in batting average against while also finishing fifth among qualifying pitchers in earned run average. A business administration major, DeSanto took a no-hitter into the ninth inning on May 12 en route to A-10 Pitcher of the Week honors on May 13 and tossed a four-hit shutout, striking out 12, against top-seeded Saint Louis in an Atlantic 10 Championship elimination game on May 23.
