PHILADELPHIA - Saint Joseph's graduate defender
Kobe Perlaza and junior goalkeeper
Cooper Jennings were named Philadelphia Soccer Six Defensive Player of the Week and Goalkeeper of the Week, respectively, the organization announced on Tuesday afternoon.
The Hawks wrapped up last week with back-to-back clean sheets in Atlantic 10 matchups against Loyola Chicago and George Washington, extending their home shutout streak to 293 minutes. Facing just five shots on target across both games, Jennings and Perlaza were key in securing the team's second and third consecutive shutouts on Sweeney Field. Perlaza also contributed offensively, scoring his second goal of the season to seal a 1–0 win over George Washington. Jennings recorded four saves to keep the Revolutionaries off the scoreboard and help secure all three points for St. Joe's.
SJU returns to action on Tuesday night in a non-conference matchup at Lehigh. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m.
