PHILADELPHIA – Saint Joseph's midfielder Aldo Hernandez swept the weekly awards Monday as both the Atlantic 10 and Philadelphia Soccer Six named him Rookie of the Week.
 
Hernandez, a native of Harbeson, Delaware, has made nine appearances this season, including six starts in the midfield. He played 129 minutes last week in matches against Lehigh and Rhode Island, starting against the Rams.
 
He scored his first collegiate goal in the 89th minute against Lehigh, then added an assist in Saint Joseph's 2-1 win over Rhode Island, earning his first weekly honors of the season.
 
The Hawks return to action Tuesday night, hosting Bucknell at 7 p.m. on Sweeney Field.
