BLACKSBURG, Va. – Playing its first road game of the season, the Saint Joseph's men's basketball team was dealt a 94-59 loss by the Virginia Tech Hokies on Wednesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Despite some strong defense from the Hawks, Virginia Tech scored the first four points of the game. SJU came back as a three-pointer by Haskins and a weakside dunk from Simpson pushed St. Joe's in front.
- The Hokies came back, scoring 16 of the next 18 points, opening a 20-7 lead.
- SJU began to find its stroke, hitting eight of its next 16 shots. Virginia Tech matched shot-for-shot; however, taking a 47-27 lead into halftime.
- As the second half progressed, the Hokies methodically pulled away to deliver the game's final margin.

St. Joe's returns to the court on Monday, November 17, to finish Big 5 pod play against the Penn Quakers. Tipoff at The Palestra is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. with the game airing on ESPN+ and NBC Sports Philadelphia+.
