DANBURY, Conn. – Saint Joseph's graduate forward Ava Smith and junior back Milou Kluyt were named to the All-ECAC Field Hockey Teams, the organization announced on Friday.  Smith was tabbed for the First Team while Kluyt was named to the Second Team.

Smith was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference and NFHCA All-Mid-Atlantic Region First Teams after tying for third in the league with 17 goals scored this season and leading all scorers with eight goals in conference play.  The Glasgow, Scotland, product was a three-time A-10 Offensive Player of the Week this season and set a new program single-game record with nine points in the win over Lock Haven on October 3.  Her four goals in the game tied a school record as well.

The Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Year, a First Team All-Region honoree, and a Second Team All-Conference selection, Kluyt started all 22 games on the Hawk defensive line and was part of a defense that held opponents to just 7.8 shots per game and 4.33 per game in conference play; Saint Joseph's also allowed the second-fewest goals in the Atlantic 10 this season.  The Goirle, Netherlands, native tallied six goals this season as well, scoring three in two games at the Atlantic 10 Championship – including both game-winners – on the way to Most Outstanding Player and All-Championship honors.  Earlier this week, she was named the Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Performer of the Year as well.
