COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Saint Joseph's senior
Alison Buffington was named a Scholar of Distinction by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association for the fourth time, the organization announced on Friday.

Earlier this week, the Enola, Pennsylvania, native and Atlantic 10 All-Conference Second Team selection was one of eight Hawks named to the NFHCA's National Academic Squad.

In order to be chosen as a Scholar of Distinction, student-athletes must have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2025-26 academic year.
