COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Eight members of the Saint Joseph's field hockey team were named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association's National Academic Squad, the organization announced on Wednesday.

In order to qualify for the honor, a student-athlete must have achieved at least a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average through the first semester of the 2025-26 academic year. Graduate students are not eligible for recognition.

Seniors
Caroline Brickley and
Alison Buffington were recognized for the fourth consecutive season, while
Erika Culp and
Milou Kluyt were tabbed for the third year in a row.

Sophomores
Lily DeWan and
Tristan Groff and freshmen
Katie Hanich and
Karlie Mertz were named to the squad for the first time.

The NFHCA will announce its Scholar of Distinction on Friday.
