TEANECK, N.J. – Facing a multi-goal deficit at the break, the Saint Joseph's women's soccer team scored twice in the opening 12 minutes of the second half to forge a 2-2 draw against the FDU Knights on Sunday afternoon.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Kerri Jackson and Emily Hanrahan scored for SJU. For Jackson, it was her first of the season. Hanrahan scored her 14th career goal, pushing her closer to the Hawks' top 10.
- Sarah Fisher assisted on both goals, giving her five for the season, tying for the Atlantic 10 lead.
- Ally Popham made a season-high 10 saves. It is the highest total for an A-10 keeper in a game thusfar in 2025.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Trailing 2-0 at the half, the Hawks stormed back within the first 12 minutes of the second stanza. In the 51st minute, St. Joe's cut the deficit in half when Jackson chipped a ball over the keeper's head off a feed from Fisher.
- Just more than five minutes later, the Hawks played the ball out wide to Fisher who sent the ball in from the left side, finding the foot of Hanrahan who tapped it home, leveling the score.
- After Saint Joseph's tied the game, Popham took care of the rest, making five of her saves in the final half hour, including one with one second left on the clock to preserve the draw.
