Emily Hanrahan of the Saint Joseph's women's soccer team has been named the Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending August 31 and as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon.
Hanrahan totaled five points on two goals and an assist during a 2-0 week for the Hawks, scoring the game-winner in both contests. Against Rider on Thursday, her goal in the 15th minute proved to be the difference in a 3-0 win. She also added an assist on the final goal of the match. Against Towson on Sunday, Hanrahan squeezed a left-footed shot inside the near post as St. Joe's scored twice in the second half to come from behind and defeat Towson 3-2.
The Hawks are back in action on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. when they host Temple at Sweeney Field.
