WASHINGTON, D.C. - Jayda Shehadi of the Saint Joseph's women's soccer team has been named the Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending September 7, 2025 and as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon. 

In just 29 minutes off the bench, Shehadi scored both goals in a 2-1 Hawks victory against city rival, Temple. She delivered the first goal of the match in the 73rd minute, rising above the mixer to head in a free kick, giving SJU a 1-0 lead. Four minutes later, with game game knotted at 1-1, another free kick was sent in and went through the hands of the keeper. Shehadi was there to collect the loose ball and put it in the back of the net for her first career brace.

It is the second consecutive week a Hawk has been selected as the A-10 Offensive Player of the Week with Emily Hanrahan claiming the award previously. 

St. Joe's is back in action on Thursday, September 11 when it makes the trip to University City to take on Penn. Opening tap is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
