DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Saint Joseph's field hockey team improved to 3-0 in conference play with a 5-1 rout of Davidson at Carol Grotnes Belk Turf Field on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Saint Joseph's (5-5 overall, 3-0 Atlantic 10) got on the board within the first two minutes as
Cat Arentz tallied her fifth goal of the season.Â
Talya Harvey then scored her first of the year less than five minutes later to double the lead.

• Late in the second quarter,
Erika Culp scored her first of the day on a pass across the front of goal from
Lily DeWan to make it a 3-0 halftime lead for the Hawks.

Alex Enslin potted the first goal of her career on a penalty corner feed from
Alison Buffington midway through the third quarter to extend the lead to four.

• Davidson (6-5 overall, 0-2 Atlantic 10) got on the board through Lourdes Wolf with 10 minutes to go in the fourth, but Culp scored her second of the day on an assist from
Amy Noonan four minutes later to set the final margin.

Avianna Wagner made seven saves for the Hawks on Friday, while Avery Foster had six for the Wildcats.

• The Hawks outshot the Wildcats 18-10 and held an 8-6 advantage in penalty corner opportunities.

• The win improves the Hawks' all-time record against Davidson to 12-0.
