SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Saint Joseph's baseball team opened its weekend series at Wofford on Friday night, falling by a 12-2 score at Russell C. King Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Wofford (7-2) took an early lead with two in the bottom of the second and two in the third.

• Saint Joseph's (2-6) got on the board in the fourth as
Blake Primrose hit his first home run of the year to make it a 4-1 game.

• The Terriers added four in the fifth and two more in the sixth.

• In the eighth,
Joey Gale reached via a one-out single and came in to score on a triple by
Jason Janesko, but the hosts picked up two in the bottom of the frame to end the game via run-rule.

BEHIND THE BOX SCORE
• Kenny Michaels was the winning pitcher for Wofford after allowing a run on four hits in seven innings. Starter
Duke McCarron took the loss for the Hawks.

• Janesko and Primrose each collected two hits, while Primrose also drew a walk to reach base three times on the night.
