WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Saint Joseph's baseball team, which clinched its second regular season conference championship in four years on May 3 and set a new league record for conference wins in a season, has earned the top seed in next week's Atlantic 10 Baseball Championship, which kicks off on Wednesday, May 20, at Capital One Park in Tysons, Virginia.

The Hawks will begin their postseason run on Thursday, May 21, at 11:00 a.m. when they take on the winner of Wednesday morning's game between fourth-seeded George Mason and fifth-seeded Rhode Island.

Saint Joseph's finished the regular season with a record of 35-18, tied for the most wins in program history, and posted a 25-5 record in conference play, outpacing second-place Richmond and VCU by five games.  The Hawks are the only team to qualify for each of the last six Atlantic 10 Baseball Championships dating back to 2021.

Richmond secured the second and the other first-round bye via a tiebreaker over VCU; the Spiders will meet the winner of Wednesday's game between third-seeded VCU and sixth-seeded Davidson at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Saint Joseph's was a collective 8-4 against the other five teams in the tournament field; the Hawks swept Richmond and won two out of three over George Mason and Rhode Island while dropping two of three against VCU.  The Hawks did not meet Davidson this season.

The double-elimination tournament continues through Saturday, May 23, with the champion earning the Atlantic 10's automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.  For more information on game times, live stats and streaming links, or tickets, visit Championship Central.
