LOUDONVILLE, NY. – Saint Joseph's senior defenseman Liam Quinn has been named to the inaugural class of the Coach Liam Gleason Humanitarian Award.
 
Seventy-seven NCAA Division I men's lacrosse student-athletes, along with Kennedy Gleason, daughter of Coach Liam Gleason, were named recipients of the 2026 honor.
 
A two-year captain, Quinn started 44 of his 50 career appearances for the Hawks. Over four seasons, the Chester Springs, Pennsylvania, native totaled 33 caused turnovers and 55 ground balls, leading the team in both categories in 2026. He helped Saint Joseph's reach two Atlantic 10 championship games, including the program's 2024 conference title that led to its second NCAA Tournament appearance.
 
"Liam is the hands-down leader of the team," said head coach Scott Meehan. "He is one of the most impressive individuals to come through SJU with his work ethic, leadership ability, compassion as a teammate, and mental toughness."
 
Established in January 2026 by family members, former coaches, and friends, the Coach Liam Gleason Humanitarian Award recognizes student-athletes who exemplify leadership, sportsmanship, commitment to teammates and staff, and meaningful community involvement.
 
Each NCAA Division I men's lacrosse program selected one student-athlete for the award at the conclusion of the 2026 season. The honorees were chosen through a vote of players, coaches, and staff as the individuals their teammates most aspire to emulate.
