EASTON, Pa. – The Saint Joseph's women's soccer team remained undefeated on the season with a 1-1 draw at Lafayette on Sunday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Sarah Fisher broke a scoreless draw in the 58th minute, collecting a loose ball off a Lafayette turnover and took two dribbles before going across the goalmouth to deposit the ball lower left for a 1-0 SJU lead.
- The advantage held until the 73rd minute when the Leopards notched the equalizer.
- Despite the Hawks having the better of the pressure in the opening 45 minutes including three corners, neither team was able to dent the scoreboard as the teams went into the half tied 0-0. Each keeper made two saves in the frame.
BY THE NUMBERS
- It was Fisher's third goal in three games. She becomes the seventh player in Saint Joseph's history dating to 2000 to have three goals in her first three games of the season.
- Peyton Radwanski made four saves.
- St. Joe's held an 8-7 advantage in overall shots and a 6-5 edge in attempts on target.
