PHILADELPHIA – Playing shorthanded for the final 67 minutes of action, the Saint Joseph's women's soccer team worked a hard-fought 0-0 draw against the Wagner Seahawks on Sunday afternoon to close non-conference play 4-2-2.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- With 22:41 to go in the first half, a foul was sent to video review. The play was determined to be a red card on SJU, forcing the Hawks to play with 10 the rest of the match.
- The remainder of the frame, Wagner attacked, but Lauren Lebo was up to the challenge, keeping the game scoreless into the break.
- In the second half, St. Joe's made some adjustments and had a handful of scoring chances, including a ball that went off the underside of the crossbar that was forced to a review. After VAR, it was determined that the ball did not cross the line, as the game ended level.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Lebo made a career-best eight saves, completing her third clean sheet of the season.
- The freshman keeper is second in the Atlantic 10 with 39 saves.
- Saint Joseph's generated seven shots and had six corners in the match.
