PHILADELPHIA –
Juliette Muro scored on a header with less than 15 minutes remaining as the Saint Joseph's women's soccer team forged a 1-1 draw against the George Mason Patriots in the Atlantic 10 Conference opener for both teams.

Jailyn Parrotte and
Leah Buch.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- GM got on the board first on a long strike at the end of the 25th minute.
- The Hawks were able to keep it a one goal contest as five minutes later, Lauren Lebo came up with a stop on a penalty kick to keep the score 1-0.
- St. Joe's picked up the possession midway through the second half and pressed out on the front foot. Earning a corner, Valentina Nardone lofted an inswinger from the near side that Muro was able to put away in the 76th minute to tie the game.
BY THE NUMBERS
- It was Muro's second goal of the season. Nardone notched her first assist of the year.
- Lebo made three saves on the evening.
- Saint Joseph's held a narrow 8-7 advantage in shots.
