LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Saint Joseph's field hockey team fell to 16th-ranked Louisville, 2-0, at Trager Stadium on Sunday morning.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Neither side was able to get much out of the first half as it took until the second quarter for the first shot of the game to be registered, coming for Saint Joseph's (3-5) off the stick of Monica Piccioli.  The hosts had a chance in the closing minutes of the second half, but it was fired wide of the cage to leave things goalless at the break.
 
• Louisville (6-2) broke through midway through the third quarter as Sophia Parker set up Lylah Kaminski for the opening goal.
 
• Aubreigh Uba doubled the Cardinal lead early in the fourth on a penalty stroke to close out the scoring.
 
BEHIND THE BOX SCORE
• The Cardinals held a 6-5 advantage in shots for the day, with each team earning a penalty corner opportunity in the second half.  Both Avianna Wagner for the Hawks and Emily Young for the Cardinals made two saves apiece.
 
• The start time of the game was moved from noon to 10:30 a.m. due to the extreme hit afflicting the region this weekend.

The Hawks return home to host Richmond on Friday afternoon.
