PHILADELPHIA – Milou Kluyt tallied her first career hat trick but the Saint Joseph's field hockey team ultimately fell to Drexel, 4-3, in overtime at Buckley Field on Sunday afternoon.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Drexel (3-1) took the lead four minutes into the game on a goal by Valentine Van Hellemont, but Kluyt drew the Hawks level with 5:45 to go on a penalty corner.
 
• Cato Nackaerts put the Dragons back in front early in the second, but Saint Joseph's (1-3) equalized on another corner as Kluyt found the back of the cage midway through the frame.
 
• Drexel went back ahead shortly before the break through Van Hellemont.
 
• Midway through the fourth, Kluyt found the net on yet another corner to tie the game.  The Hawks would have another corner opportunity in the closing minutes of regulation but couldn't find a winner.
 
• Drexel would get the winning goal early in overtime when Fleur Hamers converted on a corner.
 
BEHIND THE BOX SCORE
• Avi Wagner made six saves in the cage for the Hawks, while Halle Geiger had eight for the Dragons.
 
• SJU held an 18-11 advantage in shots in the game, while both teams earned seven corners.
 
• Karlie Mertz made her first career appearance for the Hawks on Sunday.
