In her eighth year as an assistant coach at Saint Joseph's is Patti Scinto. Scinto (nee Kryst) coordinates the Hawks' highly successful freshmen crews. A four-year member of the SJU rowing team as an undergraduate, she captained the women's team during the 1997-98 season.

Scinto earned her master's degree in education from SJU in 1999. She is currently teaching at St. Anastasia's School in Newtown Square, Pa. She resides in West Chester, Pa. with her husband Sal.
