The Saint Joseph's men's rowing team won all three eights in a meet at Holy Cross on Sunday, which included Trinity, Wesleyan and Connecticut College. 

The Hawks' Varsity 8 finished first against the five-team field, as did the Second Varsity 8. SJU's Third Varsity 8 defeated Holy Cross by 10 seconds in a dual matchup. 

"It was great to race in New England and have the weather cooperate! Going on the road and coming away with wins for every boat is an important step forward. It was frustrating to have the weather force us to cancel the Bergen Cup on Saturday but we need to keep learning how to win. All of our focus is now on the Dad Vail's and finding our final levels of team speed. It's the best time of the year," said head coach Mike Irwin.

The Hawks were slated to start the weekend at the Bergen Cup, but the annual Philadelphia regatta was cancelled due to high winds. SJU will be back in action on May 10-11 at the Dad Vail Regatta on the Schuylkill River.
