EDISON, NJ (04/01/03) - Sophomore Dan Morrissey, who has helped the men's lacrosse team to a league-leading 4-1 record in the MAAC, has been named the conference's goaltender of the week. On Saturday, he stopped 13 shots to lead the Hawks over defending league champion Manhattan, 13-10.
Morrissey ranks third in the league in save percentage (.572) and goals against average (9.98).
Other Hawks among the MAAC leaders include junior Brian Mullan, who is first in points and assists. Senior Alex Heidenberger leads the MAAC in goals scored and is seventh in total points. Freshman Keegan Wilkinson is second in assists and ninth in points.
SJU takes this weekend off before facing off with MAAC newcomer VMI next Saturday for senior day.
