EDISON, NJ (04/14/03) -- For his senior day heroics on Saturday, men's lacrosse attack man Alex Heidenberger was recognized today by the MAAC as its player of the week. The Chevy Chase, Md. native scored a hat-trick to give the Hawks an 8-7 win over VMI. But it was his overtime goal with 1:51 to go in the extra period that will make his final appearance on Finnesey Field one to remember. Heidenberger leads Saint Joseph's in goals with 23 and is second in points. He is the second Hawk to be honored by the MAAC as sophomore goalkeeper Dan Morrissey was named the goalkeeper of the week for March 31. SJU (5-1 MAAC) travels to Emmittsburg, Md. for a crucial conference matchup with Mt. St. Mary's (4-1).
