Colgate (2-1) had eight goals on the board, including seven first period tallies, before Wilkinson broke the Hawk silence with an unassisted tally at 4:42 in the second. The Red Raiders added more goal to close out the half and put Colgate up 9-1.
SJU opened the second half with two goals, both assisted by Wilkinson, by seniors
Matt Mueller and Pagliaro. After a Colgate goal, Pagliaro scored his second of the game to bring the Hawks within five at 9-4. It was as close as they would get.

Colgate out shot Saint Joseph's 38-28 and held the advantage in ground balls with 34 to the Hawks' 30. SJU capitalized on three-of-nine extra man opportunities while Colgate made good on just two-of-eight chances. The officials called 18 total penalties with each team committing nine apiece.
The Crimson and Gray travel to Drexel on Wednesday at 7 p.m. The game will be played at Franklin Field on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania.
