BUFFALO, NY (5/7/04) - For the second straight season, senior attack
Brian Mullan was named to the 2004 New York Lottery MAAC Men's Lacrosse All-Academic team, announced today by the league office. He joins Phil Marchese (1999, 2000) and Chris McIsaac (1997, 1998) as the only Saint Joseph's men's lacrosse players to be named to the all-academic team.
Mullan, finished fourth on the team in scoring with 23 points (eight goals, 15 assists) this spring. His 15 helpers were second behind sophomore all-conference member Keegan Wilkinson and give him 41 for his career, good enough for eighth all-time at SJU. A finance major, Mullan sports a 3.37 grade point average.
Saint Joseph's finished its season with a 4-10 overall record and 3-5 mark in the MAAC. The conference playoffs begin today at Canisius as regular season champion Marist takes on Manhattan and the host Golden Griffs take on Providence.
