The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team returned to the courts for the spring season with a solid showing at the Army Winter Invitational at the Lichtenberg Tennis Center. The Hawks took on Army, Rutgers, Marist and Colgate at the event. The most notable efforts came from freshman Phil Bayliss and senior A.J. Garabedian who went 2-1 in doubles action.
The team's best performance came in doubles versus COlgate, where the Hawks won matches at #1 and #2 doubles. In singles action, SJU dropped four of seven matches against Rutgers, but the Crimson and Gray did receive wins from Jimmy Holland at #2, Garabedian at #4 and Bayliss at #6.
In the Hawks two other matches, Garabedian and Bayliss posted a #2 doubles win over Army and freshman Pat Adams and senior Antonio Aniello registered victorries over Marist.
