Senior Jimmy Holland has been named to the Atlantic 10 Conference men's tennis All-Conference team in voting conducted by the League's Coaches. It is the second time that Holland has been named to the All-A-10 team, previously being honored in 2004.
In that same vote, Charlotte sophomore Roy Sichel has been named the Atlantic 10's men's tennis Most Outstanding Performer, Doug Matthews of Xavier was named Most Outstanding Rookie Performer and Richmond head coach Steve Gerstenfeld was tabbed as Coach of the Year. Charlotte's Zvi Lantsberg was selected as the Student-Athlete of the Year in a separate vote of the Conference's sports information directors.
Holland, Sichel and Matthews are joined on the All-Conference team by Richmond's Doug Banker and Bobby McNally; Mustafa Gencsoy of George Washington; Temple's Milan Juricka; Jeremy Miller of Xavier; Dayton's Tom Murphy and James O'Connell; Alejandro Nery of St. Bonaventure; and Devon Peightal of Duquesne. Murphy was named to the All-Conference team for the third year in a row, while Banker, Gencsoy, and Nery are repeat selections from last year.
