PHILADELPHIA -
The Saint Joseph's women's tennis team got a singles win from junior Jennifer Kedzierski, but couldn't earn another point as the Hawks fell to Drexel, 6-1, Friday afternoon at Finnesey Courts.
Saint Joseph's battled in all three doubles matches to start the competition, but the Dragons held on for 8-6 wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles and and 8-2 win at No. 3 doubles to earn the first point of the match.
The Hawks got on the board at No. 1 singles as Kedzierski and Drexel's Zineb Hilali battled back and forth. After winning the first set 7-5, Kedzierski earned SJU's lone point with a 7-6 win in the second set tie breaker.
Unfortunately for SJU, it couldn't earn the four points needed to win, as Drexel earned wins at the second through sixth singles flights.
With the loss, Saint Joseph's falls to 1-4 on the year, while Drexel improves to 2-0.
