The Saint Joseph's women's lacrosse team dropped to a 2-6 overall record after #4 Penn downed the Hawks, 14-0, in the teams' first meeting on Wednesday night at Franklin Field.
The Quakers jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the first half, out-shooting the Hawks 12-3 and had a 6-1 edge in draw controls in the frame.
Penn scored another eight goals in the second half and only allowed the Hawks four shots on net while they fired 15 shots on SJU's Kaitlin LaBarbera.
Labarbera finished the game with seven saves in net for the Hawks.
Saint Joseph's travels to Old Dominion on Saturday for a 12:00 p.m. match against the Monarchs.
