Box Score

Philadelphia, Pa. - The Saint Joseph's women's lacrosse team closed out its season with an 11-6 loss to Temple on Sunday afternoon at Geasey Field. The Hawks leading scorer this season, sophomore Grace Dinn tallied three goals for SJU.

Dinn was the only Hawk to score in the first half as Temple outscored SJU 6-2 in the half. After the Owls took a 2-0 lead in the first two minutes Dinn connected on a free-position shot to put SJU within one.

TU added three more goals before Dinn found the back of the net on another free-position with three minutes left in the frame. The Owls added one more with eight seconds lingering on the clock for a 6-2 edge at the half.

In the second half the Owls only outscored the Hawks by one, 5-4, but unfortunately it wouldn't be enough to overcome the first half deficit.

Temple scored the first goal in the half and Martino put one on the board for the Hawks at 25:58 before Owls' Kellee Pace scored back-to-back goals. Jen Peters and Alana Glanell answered back with a goal apiece, but TU retaliated with two of their own with 7:16 to go. Dinn added her third goal of the game with yet another free-position goal in the last two minutes for an 11-6 final.

Goalkeeper Kaitlin LaBarbera finished with nine saves in the cage.

The Hawks wrap up their season with an overall record of 2-14 and 0-7 in the Atlantic 10 Conference.
