TEANECK, N.J. -
The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team dropped its final road contest of the spring, falling at Fairleigh Dickinson by a 7-0 score.
The Hawks took the top doubles match as seniors Michael Stauble and Matt Prusack were 8-5 winners over Sven Sjoerds and Marco Jemersic. Unfortunately for the Crimson and Gray, FDU took the second and third doubles matches to secure the point.
In singles play, Prusack, senior Lucho Perez-Abreu, sophomore Peter Cognetti and freshman Alex Veronis all pushed their matches to the limit, but in the end, the Knights took all four flights, three of them in super tiebreakers, to earn the victory.
Saint Joseph's will close out the regular season slate Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. with a match at the SJU Tennis Complex against Rider.
