Senior Brooke Darreff hit two home runs to lead Saint Joseph's to a 9-1 win over La Salle in five innings at the La Salle Softball Field, while pitcher Erin Gallagher set the school record for wins in a season with 20.
The Hawks improve to 25-14 and 9-5 in the A-10 while La Salle falls to 13-26 and 2-14 in the conference.
The Hawks took a 1-0 lead in the first on consecutive bunt singles, with Dana Parks scoring on a bases-loaded walk.
Bernadette Moran added two more in the second on a two-run double, while Darreff hit her first of the game, a two-run shot that scored Laura Cardone, who had singled.
La Salle got on back in the fourth when Erica Vile scored on a hit by Shannon Skomorucha.
The Hawks added four more in the fourth to put the game away. Darreff led off with a homer while Monica Augilar doubled and eventually scored on a single by Rochelle Christman. The Hawks loaded the bases and Juliette D'Ambrosio scored when Annabelle Cunningham was hit by a pitch.
Gallagher, who is now 20-7 on the year, struck out four Explorer batters.
The Hawks take a break for final exams and return to action next weekend at Rhode Island and UMass.
