McDonnell Earns Atlantic 10 Cross Country Performer of the Week

Kevin McDonnell Places 159th at the NCAA Championships

Philadelphia, Pa. - Saint Joseph's men's cross country runner Kevin McDonnell competed in his second consecutive NCAA Championship finishing 159th overall on Monday. The race was held at the Lavern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course in Terra Haute, Indiana.

The Moorestown, N.J., native completed the 10K course at the Wabash Family Sports Center in a time of 31:18.1. The top time at the championship was held by Arizona freshman Lawi Lalang who crossed the finish line at 28:44.1.

Head coach Mike Glavin has had six qualifiers for the NCAA Championship race with McDonnell earning a spot each of the past two years.

McDonnell was the Hawks' top finisher in every meet he competed in this season. He also received Atlantic 10 All-Conference accolades for his 2nd place finish at the A-10 championships at Frank Liske Park in Charlotte, N.C.
