Men's Lacrosse Falls to Brown, 11-4

Providence, R.I. - Brown took a 6-0 first half lead over the Saint Joseph's men's lacrosse team and held on to defeat the Hawks, 11-4, on Saturday afternoon at Stevenson Field. Sophomore Kyle Mahoney scored two goals for SJU.

The Bears won every faceoff in the first half and outshot the Hawks, 16-7. Leading Brown's offense in the frame were Andrew Feinberg with three goals while Rob Schlesinger had two.

Saint Joseph's Scott Cullinan opened the second half with a man-up goal, but Brown put the game out of reach with a 5-0 run to seal the win.

Mahoney scored two goals and Kyle Williams added one in the last five minutes of the game for an 11-4 final.

Hawks' goalkeeper Chris Moffa tallied seven saves on the afternoon.

SJU returns to action when it hits the road to face Maryland on Sunday, March 20. Game time is set for 1:00 p.m.
