Box Score

Bethlehem, Pa. - The Saint Joseph's women's lacrosse team fell to Lehigh, 16-3, at the Mountain Hawks' Ulrich Sports Complex on Wednesday afternoon. Junior Grace Dinn tallied a goal and two assists for the Hawks.

SJU got on the board first, when Dinn sent a pass in to junior Jen Peters, who scored just 2:03 into the game. Unfortunately, the Hawks lead was shortlived as Lehigh went on a 10-0 run, continuing through to the second half.

Lehigh's Lauren Dykstra scored four of her five goals in the first half, giving the Mountain Hawks a 9-1 halftime lead. Lehigh outshot SJU, 14-5, and caused seven of the Hawks' 10 turnovers in the frame.

In the second half, Lehigh made it 10-1 before Dinn broke the Mountain Hawks' scoring streak with an unassisted goal less than a minute later.

Lehigh continued to attack, scoring three more goals, before Dinn set up Elizabeth Fox for a goal with 10:54 remaining on the clock to make it 13-3. The Mountain Hawks held onto the lead and added three goals in the final minutes for the win.

The Hawks return to action when they host Saint Francis (Pa.) on Sunday. Game time is set for 12:00 p.m. on Finnesey Field.
