PHILADELPHIA -
Playing just singles matches, the Saint Joseph's women's tennis team posted wins at No. 1 and No. 3 singles, but eventually fell to Drexel, 4-2, Wednesday afternoon at the SJU Tennis Complex.
Sophomore Casey Robinson opened the match up with a two-set victory over Gozde Unkaya, 6-3, 6-2 to give SJU an early edge. Senior Maggie Mullaney gave SJU its second point with a 6-3, 6-7, 13-11 victory over Zeynep Mafa.
Unfortunately for the Hawks, the Dragons took the other four matches to earn the victory.
Saint Joseph's host La Salle Thursday at 3 p.m.
