Saint Joseph's men's basketball has finalized its non-conference schedule for the 2013-14 season which features seven games at Hagan Arena, including contests against city rivals Villanova and Drexel.
In addition to the seven games on campus, the Hawks will play one at The Palestra, have three neutral site games and will go on the road just three times during non-conference play.
The Hawks begin the year on the road, visiting Vermont on November 9 before playing the home opener against Marist on November 13.
Saint Joseph's will continue its series with fellow Jesuit institution Creighton, hosting the Bluejays on Saturday, November 16.
The Hawks will participate in the nationally-televised Old Spice Classic over Thanksgiving weekend at ESPN's Wide World of Sports at the Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando, Fla. SJU will face LSU on Thanksgiving night and continue play in the tournament on November 29 and December 1. The remainder of the tournament field consists of Butler, Memphis, Oklahoma State, Purdue, Siena and Washington State.
SJU returns home for three consecutive games against Philadelphia rivals, visiting Temple on December 4, and hosting Villanova on December 7 and Drexel on December 18.
The Hawks will travel to Loyola-Md. on December 21 and after a break for the holiday, will host Boston University on December 29 and Binghamton on New Year's Eve. Saint Joseph's will face Denver at Hagan Arena on January 4 in the last game before the Atlantic 10 schedule gets underway.
SJU closes out the non-conference schedule versus Penn at The Palestra on January 18.
