In SJU's last match, Saint Joseph's handed Temple its first loss of the season as the Hawks downed the Owls, 1-0, on Saturday evening at Sweeney Field. Philadelphia Soccer Six Player of the Week senior midfielder Jimmy Reilly scored the match's only goal off of an assist from sophomore midfielder Tim Lazorko in the 61st minute. Senior defender Brendan Reilly anchored the Hawks' defensive unit of Tommy Brooks, Brian Reynolds, and Brandon Stevis as the veteran quartet stifled Temple's offense. Redshirt senior goalkeeper Andrew D'Ottavi made two saves in the shutout.

On the season, Lazorko (2G, 1A), junior midfielder Jake Nelson (2G) and J. Reilly (1G, 1A) lead the Hawks in scoring while D'Ottavi (1-1-3) sports a 1.24 GAA and .750 saves percentage in a full 510:00. B. Reilly (510:00) and Brooks (508:00) have been significant factors on the back line.
