Women's Basketball Honors Senior Class Sunday In Season Finale Versus Fordham

PHILADELPHIA - Saint Joseph's women's basketball caps the regular season when the Hawks host Fordham on Sunday in a matchup of last year's Atlantic 10 Championship title game. The Hawks will honor their three seniors - Kelsey Berger, Ilze Gotfrida and Erin Shields - in a pregame ceremony.

GAME STORIES . . .
• Saint Joseph's is coming off an 85-51 win at Massachusetts in which all 12 Hawks earned playing time with 11 scored at least a basket.
• Junior guard Natasha Cloud is coming off a near triple-double at Massachusetts, grabbing a career-high 12 boards, matching her career-high with 13 assists and finishing with eight points.
• Sunday's contest is the 39th meeting between the Hawks and Rams with SJU holding a 34-4 edge in the all-time series.
• Sunday's contest will also determine two of the top five seeds in this week's Atlantic 10 Championship as the Hawks and Rams enter the weekend tied with GeorgeWashington for third at 10-5.
• A victory by Saint Joseph's guarantees it the third seed in the A-10 Championship, while a loss, combined with a George Washington win against Dayton, would drop the Hawks to fifth.
• Should George Washington lose to Dayton, Saint Joseph's and Fordham will each earn a bye for the Atlantic 10 Championship with Sunday's winner gaining the third seed and the loser earning the fourth seed.
• Senior guard Erin Shields enters Sunday 11th all-time in career assists (352), while junior Natasha Cloud is currently ninth at 354.
• Shields is currently tied for fifth with Melisa Coursey (1997-98) in a single season for three-pointers (81) and is second all-time in three-pointers (241), 15 behind all-time leader Amra Mehmedic (256).
Natasha Cloud is fourth all-time in single season assists (212) and currently has more assists than three teams in the nation (Wofford-188, Morgan St.-192 and Alcorn St.-162).
• As a team, SJU is currently first nationally in free throw percentage (80.8 percent).
• This year's SJU squad became just the fourth team in program history to win 10 games at home and on the road, joining the 1977-78, 1986-87 and 1999-00 teams.
• Former Hawk great Dale Hodges has been named to represent the Hawks as Atlantic 10 Conference Legends for 2014. Hodges is currently an assistant coach with Fordham.
• Senior guard Erin Shields was named to the Capital One Academic All-District 2 Women's Basketball Team. Shields, who is the first Hawk to earn Academic All-District honors since 2005-06, is one of just 43 student-athletes nationally
