MERION STATION, Pa. – The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team took all six singles matches on Saturday en route to a 6-1 win over Fordham. Senior Dan Barrus posted a pair of wins, emerging triumphant in both the third singles and third doubles flights.
Barrus teamed up with Paranjay Malhotra for an 8-5 win in third doubles, but the Rams took both the first and second flight tilts to win the doubles points.
The Hawks responded in singles play, however, as SJU took all six matches. Barrus, Pierre Brondeau (second flight), Kyle Chalmers (fifth), and Tristan Boustany (sixth) were straight-sets winners, while Jose Sierra and Andres Urrea won three-set matches in the first and fourth flights.
Saint Joseph's hosts Sacred Heart on Sunday before hosting Lehigh on Monday.
