The University of the Sciences golf team opened the fall portion of their season on Sunday with a dual match against Philadelphia University at the ACE Club in Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania. The Rams came away with a 315-344 victory.
Eric Jones (Holy Redeemer HS/Wilkes-Barre, Pa.) led the Devils, shooting a round of 82 and was the fourth best score amongst the nine golfers competing. Wes Kerr (Moorestown HS/Avalon, N.J.) finished one stroke behind Jones with a score of 83.
Rounding out the Devils competitors were Adam Meriesky (Wyoming Valley Vest HS/Larksville, Pa.) and Zachary Moorefield (Kennard-Dale HS/Drexel Hill, Pa.). Meriesky shot 89 while Moorefield shot 90.
Nick Nguyen of Philadelphia University, earned medalist honors, shooting an even par 72, five strokes ahead of teammate Peter Mahal's score of 77.
The Devils return to action on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 with a quad-match at the ACE Club with Felician College, Rutgers Camden and Philadelphia University.
