The University of the Sciences men's golf team played in their second match of the fall on Wednesday, finishing fourth in quad match hosted by Philadelphia University at the ACE Club in Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania.
The Devils finished with a score of 340. Felician College won the match with a score of 311. One stroke behind the Golden Falcons were the host rams at 312 and Rutgers University-Camden finished two strokes back at 313.
Eric Jones (Holy Redeemer HS/Wilkes-Barre, Pa.) and Austin Staiano (Haddon Heights HS/Haddonfield, N.J.) led USciences, shooting identical rounds of 83, tying for 12th place amongst the 20 golfers competing and finishing eight strokes behind a quartet of golfers who tied for top round honors with a score of 75.
Wes Kerr (Moorestown HS/Avalon, N.J.) and Zach Moorefield (Kennard-Dale HS/Drexel Hill, Pa.) rounded out the Devils top four as both golfers shot a round of 87. Adam Meriesky (Wyoming Valley West HS/Larksville, Pa.) was the Devils fifth competitor, shooting a score of 94.
The men's golf team will be back in action on Monday, October 5, 2015 when they play at the Goldey-Beacom College Fall Invitational and Newark Country Club in Newark, Delaware.
