The Saint Joseph's women's soccer team opens the Atlantic 10 portion of its schedule this week with a pair of formidable matches starting Thursday at home versus Saint Louis. The Hawks and Billikens will kickoff at 7 p.m. on Sweeney Field in an ESPN+ streamed match on Thursday, with SJU then heading to rival La Salle for a 1 p.m. contest on Sunday.
The Hawks are also hosting their Inaugural Youth Club Soccer Night for kids ages 13 and younger this Thursday. The night will feature fun half-time activities, EPYSA give-aways, Rita's Water Ice and the opportunity to meet the team afterwards.

ABOUT THE HAWKS
• The Hawks enter Thursday ranked ninth in this week's United Soccer Coaches East Region Poll. This week also marks the fifth straight week SJU has made an appearance in the regional poll.
• Saint Joseph's is currently 5-2-2 on the season and 3-1-1 at home, and are coming off a 1-0 victory over Cornell on Sunday.
• With a win Sunday versus Cornell, senior goalkeeper Grace Bendon passed Allison Ebling for the program's all-time mark in victories with her 24th.
• Freshman Aleksa Peev tallied the game winner in the Hawks' 1-0 win over Cornell and is currently tied for the team lead in goals (three) alongside senior Hannah Racis.
• Racis currently leads Saint Joseph's in points (eight), while classmate Paige Bergman has registered a team-best three assists.
ABOUT THE BILLIKENS
• Saint Louis was picked to finish atop the A-10 standings in the conference's preseason poll.
• The Billikens enter Thursday with a 5-3-1 overall record, but are just 1-3-0 away from Hermann Stadium
• Thursday is a rematch of last year's A-10 Championship quarterfinals match in which the Hawks won, 1-0, behind a first-half goal by Michaela Finneyfrock.
• On the offensive side, freshman Hannah Friedrich lead SLU in points (12) and assists (four) and ranks in the top five in the A-10 in both categories, while junior Alyssa Seitzer has tallied a team-high five goals and is second on the team in points (11).
• Junior goalkeeper Olivia Silverman leads the Billikens with .767 save percentage and enters Thursday with a 0.77 goals-against-average.
ABOUT THE EXPLORERS
• La Salle was picked to finish second in the conference according to the A-10 preseason poll and enters the week at 5-1-1 overall and 3-1-0 at home.
• The Explorers open A-10 play at Davidson on Thursday.
• Redshirt senior Madison Bower leads La Salle in goals (five) and points (10), with sophomore Jenna Soriano pacing the team in assists with three
• In net, sophomore Claudia Jenkins has played every minute for the Explorers and posted a 0.67 goals-against-average.
