Box Score RICHMOND, Va. - The Saint Joseph's women's soccer team dropped its regular season final at Richmond, 3-0, on Sunday afternoon. Despite the loss, the Hawks have secured a spot in next week's Atlantic 10 Championship.
How It Happened
• Saint Joseph's capped its regular season with a 4-5-1 mark in Atlantic 10 play and finished tied with Duquesne with 13 points in the conference standings.
• Due to one A-10 game being forced to finish Monday due to weather, final standings for next week's A-10 Championship will not be solidified until then.
• At the moment, the Hawks hold the tie-breaker over Duquesne and would finish with the sixth seed and travel to third seed Massachusetts next weekend.
• Should either Davidson or Fordham win Monday's match, SJU would drop to the seventh seed and travel to second seed George Washington. A draw by the Wildcats or Rams would secure the sixth seed for the Hawks.
• On Sunday, Richmond's Alyssa Walker tallied a hat-trick as the Spiders topped Saint Joseph's, 3-0.
• Saint Joseph's goalkeeper Cameron Perrott posted two saves, as she moved to 5-6-1 on the season
• The Hawks finished with a 12-10 edge in shots, while the Spiders finished with an 8-4 edge in corner kicks.
• With the loss, Saint Joseph's falls to 7-9-2 overall.
