The Saint Joseph's men's basketball team opens Big 5 play on Saturday as it hosts #23 Villanova at 3 p.m. Saturday's contest, which marks the 77th meeting between the Hawks and Wildcats, will be televised nationally on ESPN2, with audio broadcast available on TuneIn.

• Saint Joseph's head coach Billy Lange, who served as associate head coach at Villanova from 2011-13, is 0-2 all-time versus the Wildcats.

DALY AMONG NATIONAL LEADERS
Redshirt junior Ryan Daly enters Saturday 26th nationally in scoring (20.9 ppg), 12th in total points (188), 20th in double-doubles (four), 36th in free-throw attempts (52), 78th in assists per game (4.8 apg) and 74th in total rebounds (76).

EDWARDS OFF TO CAREER START
Ranking second on the team in scoring, junior Lorenzo Edwards is off to a career-best season as he enters Saturday second on the team in scoring with a career-best 9.7 points per game. Scoring in double figures four times this season, he is coming off a 12-point performance against Lafayette on Tuesday.

HAWKS HELPING OTHERS
The Hawks will take part in their 25th annual Christmas charity project over the coming week, where they will provide gifts and a Christmas dinner to a few needy families in West Philadelphia. Players will choose and wrap gifts for their assigned families and then personally deliver them directly to those families.
