Perrone, Fick Earn Atlantic 10 Men's Tennis All-Conference Honors

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Saint Joseph's sophomore Nathan Perrone and senior Andre Fick were named to the Atlantic 10 Men's Tennis All-Conference First and Second Teams, respectively, in voting conducted by the league's head coaches.  The postseason honors were announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Perrone, a native of Moorestown, New Jersey, played all 20 of his dual match appearances in the top flight, posting an outstanding 15-5 record in his first season with the Hawks, which ties him for the second-most #1 singles wins in a season in program history.  He also posted a 13-6 mark in doubles play, and his 28 combined wins were the most on the squad.

Hailing from Reading, Pennsylvania, Fick moved into fifth place on the program's all-time wins list with 62 singles victories.  He won a team-high 16 singles matches this season, including 12 in the second flight, while also posting a 7-3 mark in the first doubles flight en route to 10 doubles wins.

The pair excelled against conference opposition as well, with Perrone going 6-2 in the top singles flight and Fick turning in a 5-2 mark in the second.  Both were undefeated in #1 doubles play, with Perrone's 6-2 overall doubles mark against conference opponents leading the team.

Fick earned his second All-Conference honor, having also been tabbed for the Second Team a year ago; it is the first Atlantic 10 accolade for Perrone, who joined the Hawks as a transfer in January.
