• The Hawks enter Saturday's contest with a 5-4 edge in the all-time series, but the Patriots have won four of the last five, including an 85-60 decision at Hagan Arena last year.
• Saint Joseph's is coming off an exciting 73-72 victory over Davidson on Tuesday for its first Atlantic 10 win of the season.
• Freshman Cameron Brown's three-pointer with :00.7 to play helped the Hawks overcome a 19-point second half deficit.
• Brown finished with a season-high 24 points as he ended the night shooting 10-of-13 from the floor, including 4-of-6 from three-point range.
• Senior Toliver Freeman scored a career-high 16 points - 11 coming in the second half - against the Wildcats.
• The Hawks' 52 points in the second half were the most scored this season in the final 20 minutes of a contest, and just two shy of their season-high for any half that was set at UConn (54).
PAGING DOCTOR FREEMAN
Tuesday was an extremely memorable day for senior Toliver Freeman. Along with scoring a career-best 16 points in a win over Davidson, the biology major learned earlier in the day he had been accepted into medical school at LSU Shreveport.
DOUGLAS LEADS A-10 IN FREE THROW PERCENTANGE
Myles Douglas enters Saturday as the top free throw shooter in the Atlantic 10. To date, Douglas has converted 52-of-60 from the foul line for 86.7 percent. He is followed by Dayton's Jalen Crutcher (.866) and VCU's De'Riante Jenkins (.864).
HAWKS SET NEW ATTEMPTS RECORD
A main focus of the Hawks' offense this season has been the three-point shot. And that has been noticeable as Saint Joseph's has set a new single-season mark for three-point attempts as it enters Saturday with 780. A made three-pointer by Toliver Freeman at the 3:33 mark of the second half against Davidson pushed this year's squad past the previous mark of 775, set during the 2003-04 campaign.
